Ladders is seeking a Senior Communications Officer, Editorial & Production to lead editorial quality and production of mission-driven content across the organization. This role builds workflows, standards, and production systems to keep content creation on schedule.

Remote across the United States, you will partner with stakeholders to plan priorities, allocate resources, and ensure every publication reflects clear, accurate, and nuanced voice.

• 10+ years of experience in editorial and content production leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to set and maintain high editorial standards.
• Experience managing and developing teams and individual contributors.

For our client, we are seeking a Senior Communications Officer, Editorial & Production to join the team of a leader in the Education, Government & Non-Profit space.

This role will guide the editorial quality and production of mission-driven communications content across the organization. You will build the workflows, standards, and production systems that keep content creation running smoothly and on schedule. The position also partners closely with stakeholders to plan priorities, manage resources, and ensure every publication reflects a clear, accurate, and nuanced voice.

Location: Remote

Compensation: $225,000 – $250,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Own the editorial quality and production of communications content
• Build and manage workflows, standards, and production systems for content creation
• Lead planning and resource allocation for owned-content projects across the organization
• Uphold and promote the organization's voice and editorial standards in all publications
• Develop recurring communications and reporting products based on established priorities

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in editorial and content production leadership
• Demonstrated ability to set and maintain high editorial standards
• Experience managing and developing teams and individual contributors
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with a focus on clarity and nuance
• Ability to engage with complex research and data, communicating it effectively to various audiences
