Job summary

This role partners with corporate leadership, HR, and Tokyo-Corporate Communications to translate priorities into clear, timely communications for a wide audience. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in strategic communications, superb writing, and the ability to manage multiple

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
• 10–12+ years of progressive experience in corporate communications, employee communications, public relations, community engagement, or related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience developing and executing employee communication strategies.
• Excellent writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
• Experience working directly with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a complex, matrixed organization.
• Experience developing communications for multiple audiences and channels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute integrated employee communication strategies aligned with business objectives and company culture.
• Partner with senior leaders to develop clear, timely communications for employees.
• Create and manage communications across channels: email, intranet, digital platforms, meetings, town halls, videos, newsletters, presentations, leadership communications.
• Develop executive communications: talking points, leadership messages, presentations, town hall materials, announcements.
• Translate complex business information into concise, accessible employee communications.
• Support communications related to organizational change, culture, employee engagement, and major initiatives.
• Establish plans, timelines, audiences, messages, channels for major initiatives.
• Monitor feedback and engagement trends to refine strategies.
• Develop and implement community engagement strategies that support corporate citizenship and investment priorities.
• Coordinate community events, volunteer activities, and campaigns.
• Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive participation.
• Measure and communicate impact of programs.
• Develop compelling employee and community stories; write/edit articles, newsletters, executive messages, and content across channels.
• Ensure communications align with brand, voice, and standards.
• Collaborate with social/digital/HR and external partners.
• Serve as strategic advisor to leaders; counsel on strategy, timing, and delivery.
• Build cross-functional relationships; manage multiple projects with deadlines.
