Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a Senior Commissioning Project Manager to lead integrated commissioning across 4-5 concurrent utility-scale projects with 2-3 scopes each, from planning through energization and turnover.

The role requires directing strategy, governance, and execution, coordinating with engineering, field teams, OEMs, and customers to ensure safety, schedule, and commercial success. Occasional travel within the Midwest is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of experience in commissioning, startup, testing, construction, operations, engineering, or project delivery for utility-scale electrical facilities.
• Minimum 5 years leading complex commissioning or project-delivery activities, including responsibility for multiple concurrent projects.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage scope, schedule, resources, and risk.
• Proven experience with EPC contracts, interconnection, and project controls.
• Travel with regional oversight and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Own integrated commissioning delivery across typically 4-5 concurrent EPC projects, each with 2-3 commissioning scopes.
• Establish commissioning strategy, governance cadence, readiness gates, milestones, and escalation paths.
• Coordinate with Commissioning Engineering, field teams, OEMs, and partners to form a single executable commissioning plan.
• Ensure safety, compliance, and timely documentation through energization, testing, and turnover.
• Provide status and risk reporting to stakeholders and drive cross-scope issue resolution.
