Jacobs is seeking a seasoned commissioning leader to oversee complex mechanical, electrical, and controls startups across power and industrial facilities. The role emphasizes safety, quality, and timely turnover of systems to operations.

You will collaborate with engineering, construction, and OEMs to validate readiness, manage risk, and drive successful handover to commercial operation. Hybrid work and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Controls Engineering or equivalent field experience.
• 15+ years of experience leading commissioning, startup, or operations readiness on thermal power generation or heavy industrial facilities.
• Strong safety culture with ability to intervene when needed.
• Experience leading commissioning on multiple fast-track/schedule-driven projects.

Responsabilités

• Oversee daily commissioning execution across mechanical, electrical, controls, and process systems, ensuring safe and coordinated system energization and testing.
• Review system boundaries and develop a project start-up and turnover sequence for each system in collaboration with engineering leadership and 3rd parties.
• Provide input to commissioning plans, procedures, checklists, and turnover strategies aligned with milestones.
• Oversee commissioning of major equipment including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, HRSG/boiler systems, pumps, compressors, and related systems.
• Coordinate with construction teams to validate mechanical completion, punch list closure, and turnover packages.
• Validate pre-commissioning and commissioning activities by 3rd parties vendors, OEMs, commissioning agents and contractors.
• Review first fill, consumables, and spares strategies against the commissioning plan and risks.
• Lead system walkdowns, inspections, functional testing, loop checks, and performance testing.
• Ensure compliance with procedures, OEM requirements, project specs, and industry standards.
