Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Chicago seeks a Senior Commissioning Manager to lead commissioning for complex HVAC, electrical, plumbing and related systems across renovation and new construction projects, including life sciences, healthcare and data centers.

You will mentor staff, develop client relationships, prepare proposals, manage project finances and ensure systems meet design criteria, with regional travel and optional work-from-home when not on site.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or relevant building science with 15 years of relevant experience
PE preferred; LEED AP and commissioning certification preferred

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate the entire commissioning team for complex projects with technical systems
Develop client relationships, create proposals, generate new business
Manage project finances, budgets, and profitability
Mentor commissioning staff and QC tasks
Verify systems meet design and operation criteria
Review design documents and sequences of operation for conformance
Write system checklists and functional tests
Conduct site walks and testing of complex systems
Track issues with contractors and owners
Create technical reports and deliverables with proper formatting
Performs tasks independently
