Consolidated Nuclear Security, Oak Ridge, seeks a Commissioning Support Lead (Senior Specialist) to oversee startup readiness and ensure compliance with DOE Order 425.1. You will lead cross-functional teams spanning operations, safety, and maintenance while maintaining a hands-on floor presence to guide development and performance improvements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, mathematics, chemistry or physics with 7+ years of relevant experience (or a Master’s with 6 years,

Qualifications

• Minimum education and experience aligned to DOE requirements: Bachelor's in engineering/ math/chem/physics with 7+ years, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
• Must meet DOE O 426.2A requirements for security and technical competencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical oversight to ensure compliance with DOE 425.1 for startups.
• Coordinate across production, operations, safety, and construction teams.
• Guide readiness preparations and guidance across the organization.
• Maintain floor-level presence to direct developmental efforts.
• Communicate directions and plans across the organization.
• Apply project management tools to ensure timely execution.
