Job summary

X Energy in Oak Ridge, TN seeks a meticulous Completions Engineer to oversee the transition from construction to operations. You will coordinate evidence, manage turnover prerequisites, and drive closure on numerous details to demonstrate readiness for NRC authorization.

In this role, you’ll support the Commissioning Manager and Test Engineers, maintain a comprehensive evidentiary framework, and influence across disciplines to ensure documentation is complete and verifiable for readiness

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Typically 5+ years of relevant experience in nuclear, chemical process, or other highly regulated industries.
• Experience in completions tracking, readiness verification, or turnover activities.

Responsibilities

• Define requirements and build an Evidence Framework for assigned systems to support readiness.
• Identify objective evidence and ensure documentation demonstrates readiness with clear acceptance criteria.
• Assist in tracking turnover prerequisites, punchlist status, and evidence for construction-to-commissioning turnover.
• Maintain a completions database with requirements, status, due dates, and evidence links.
• Coordinate with Readiness Leads and other stakeholders to verify readiness across functions (Operations, Maintenance, QA, Nuclear Safety, Engineering).
• Support monitoring of turnover milestones and provide visibility into system readiness and remaining gaps.
