Job summary

HDR is seeking a Senior Commissioning Agent to lead commissioning activities on building projects across Texas. You will serve as the primary client liaison, manage budgeted hours, and coordinate with clients and contractors to schedule commissioning plans, tests, and training.

This role requires strong MEP knowledge, certification, and travel to site locations. The ideal candidate has extensive experience in Mission Critical, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Higher Education, or Government sectors,

Qualifications

• 8+ years in mechanical, electrical and controls disciplines
• Willingness to travel to site-based locations as needed
• Licensed PE or field technician with strong MEP understanding
• Proficient in MS Office and project scheduling tools
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with design documents and multi-discipline design delivery
• Solid knowledge of construction practices and project accounting tools
• Able to manage multiple tasks and collaborate in employee-owned culture

Responsibilities

• Be the main contact between the client and HDR and direct and manage all Commissioning activities on the project
• Adhere to budgeted man-hours and execute commissioning services
• Coordinate with the client and assist the contractors in scheduling the commissioning activities: plans, pre-functional checklists, functional performance tests, training plans, O&M, record document and shop drawing reviews and season testing
• Perform other duties as needed
