Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) seeks a Commissioning Engineer II to join our team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on project construction and contract administration, including developing test procedures, training sessions, and field observations.

You will coordinate with multiple disciplines to ensure system failures are avoided and performance targets are met. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s in engineering, understands building systems, and can interpret codes and standards.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in mechanical, electrical, architectural engineering or related field from an accredited program.
• Strong understanding of building systems across disciplines and knowledge in HVAC, plumbing/piping, electrical, lighting, I&C, or building envelope.
• Familiarity with applicable design codes, design standards and specs; ability to interpret them.
• Fundamental knowledge of commissioning processes and delivery.
• Proficiency with engineering calculation programs and CAD/BIM software.
