Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) invites a Commissioning Engineer I to join our XX office to empower clients with energy-efficient building solutions.

You will help develop and execute system test procedures, organize user trainings, and support field observations and progress meetings. The role requires a bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering, knowledge of building systems, and the ability to interpret codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or architectural engineering from an accredited program.
• General understanding of building systems and knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, instrumentation, or building envelope.
• Knowledge of codes, guidelines and standards related to commissioning, design and construction.
• Experience in engineering calculations and ability to learn CAD/BIM software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate system test procedures.
• Organize user training sessions.
• Administer functional performance tests.
• Conduct field observations.
• Attend progress meetings.
• Assist in document control.
