Job summary
FourLeaf Federal Credit Union in New York seeks a Senior Commercial Underwriter to manage commercial credit activities consistent with MBL policy and standards. The role supports flexible work options including remote setup.
You will review loan packages, prepare financial analyses, and create CAMs for review. You will mentor other underwriters while ensuring timely decisions and adherence to FourLeaf policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required in Business/Finance or related field.
- 5–9 years of experience in commercial underwriting or lending.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating commercial real estate and C&I transactions.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze commercial loan packages and related documents to determine creditworthiness.
- Prepare financial statement spreads and supporting analysis for borrowers.
- Underwrite complex deals (C&I and construction) and draft CAMs for committee review.
- Recommend risk ratings and/or credit restructuring as needed.
- Maintain loan file quality and ensure timely decisioning and closings within policy.
- Coordinate with legal, relationship managers, and borrowers while upholding service standards.
- Assist in loan sales documentation and respond to auditors' inquiries.
- Support portfolio teams during annual reviews and workouts.
