Job summary

FourLeaf Federal Credit Union in Bethpage, NY, seeks a Home Equity Underwriter to review and analyze home equity loan applications, determine creditworthiness, and assess risk. You will evaluate income, credit history, DTI, and documentation, and collaborate with closers and processors to resolve issues while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

2+ years of underwriting or processing experience.

Responsibilities

Review loan applications, credit reports, and supporting documentation to analyze risk and request additional information as necessary.
Review income and loan documents or verify self-employed tax returns.
Monitor and manage pipeline to meet Service Level Agreements.
Review and follow up on incomplete files for initial decision.
Collaborate with other departments and team members.
Communicate reasons for loan decisions to internal teams and members.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and partner policies and guidelines.
Validate loan data and resolve red flags.
Communicate with closers and processors to resolve issues as needed.
