You will manage credit checks, financial reviews, and stakeholder relationships to drive growth. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting, 5+ years of underwriting experience, and professional certifications (AFSB, CPA, RPLU) preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Finance/Accounting.
• Progress toward professional certifications (AFSB, CPA, RPLU) preferred.
• 5+ years of related underwriting experience in surety.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business reports used in underwriting, including credit checks, bank agreements, and financial statements.
• Responsible for risk selection, pricing, retention, growth, and profitability for their branch office.
• Assess risk quality in compliance with company guidelines.
• Review underwriting of others and make recommendations for extending surety credit.
• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Communicate effectively and deliver timely, informed decisions.
• Must be highly organized to handle multiple responsibilities.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and hold self and team accountable.
