Job summary

Uprite Construction Corporation seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead commercial construction projects, primarily in Idaho with travel to other markets as needed. The role is based in the Pocatello area and requires ownership of projects from sitework through turnover, coordinating multiple trades and maintaining safety and quality on site.

Qualifications

• Strong Superintendent experience within commercial construction.
• Ground up construction experience required.
• Tenant improvement experience required.
• Experience working for a commercial general contractor.
• Experience independently running projects or major portions in the field.
• Strong understanding of sitework, foundations, concrete, structural systems, building envelope, MEP systems, interiors, and finishes.
• Experience managing projects through full construction lifecycle from mobilization through turnover.
• Strong subcontractor management and trade coordination experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead day to day field operations for commercial construction projects.
• Manage ground up construction, tenant improvements, renovations, and other commercial project types.
• Take ownership of projects from sitework and foundations through structure, building envelope, MEP systems, interiors, punch, and final turnover.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, deliveries, equipment, inspections, and daily field activities.
• Develop and maintain project schedules and short term field planning.
• Manage trade sequencing and ensure subcontractors are meeting schedule commitments.
• Monitor subcontractor manpower, productivity, quality, and overall performance.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, shop drawings, and other project documents.
• Identify constructability issues and field conflicts early and work with the project team to develop solutions.
• Lead subcontractor meetings and communicate project expectations clearly.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Project Engineers on schedule, cost, procurement, changes, RFIs, and documentation.
• Maintain communication with owners, architects, engineers, consultants, inspectors, and other stakeholders.
• Coordinate city and agency inspections and ensure work is ready for inspection.
• Maintain strong safety standards and promote a safe and organized jobsite.
• Monitor quality to meet plans, specs, and Uprite standards.
• Maintain accurate daily reports, progress documentation, and field records.
• Manage punch list activities, commissioning, final inspections, and closeout.
• Help build and maintain strong relationships with local subcontractors and trade partners.
• Travel to project locations as required by business needs.
