The role emphasizes economic evaluation, ownership of strategic initiatives, and cross-functional leadership, located in Denver with travel to other sites as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Seven (7) or more years of Commercial, Strategy, or related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Identifies and leads logistics cost reduction and strategic placement for MPC production.
• Manages intermediated to advanced-level commercial relationships with third-party logistic providers, including renewals or new contracts.
• Leads and guides teams on organic growth opportunities and potential acquisitions, mergers, or divestments; can develop strategy around a group of assets.
• Performs economic evaluation and financial modeling to identify value creation opportunities aligned with strategic objectives.
• Serves as liaison between internal stakeholders (Business Development, Services Development, MPLX, RVCO, Trading, Scheduling, Marketing) to understand needs and propose solutions.
• Co-leads cross-functional projects, develops business cases, and handoffs for execution when appropriate.
• Communicates opportunities, plans, and strategies to stakeholders across platforms; capable of presenting to executive leadership.
