Job summary

Security 101 – New Jersey is seeking a Commercial Security Sales Engineer to estimate, design, engineer, and configure a full range of commercial electronic security systems. The role focuses on IP network systems for new construction and modifications, with the Eatontown, NJ office serving as the hub.

The position offers a full-time exempt role with a salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 plus commissions. Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) match, paid holidays, PTO, and more.

Qualifications

• This role requires at least 5 years designing and estimating security systems for commercial access control and IP-based video security.
• Minimum 3 years of field experience with access control, IP video, and intrusion devices.
• Must be process oriented with strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong blueprint reading and engineering principle knowledge related to automation and security systems.
• Ability to work independently and resolve customer issues; proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, design, engineer, and configure enterprise security systems with minimal supervision.
• Advise sales/project teams on best products and solutions per project.
• Create/review schematics and technical literature to support projects.
• Configure estimates/quotes using Fieldwire and Security101 web quoting tools.
• Respond to customer requests including RFIs/RFPs.
