Job summary

Fivetran is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer to join our Commercial sales team from our Dublin office. You will collaborate with the sales force to understand complex customer needs and demonstrate how Fivetran’s data replication solutions can drive business outcomes.

As a Senior Sales Engineer, you’ll provide technical expertise, identify requirements, and guide a proof‑of‑value throughout the sales cycle. The role is full‑time with a hybrid model combining remote work and in‑person

Qualifications

4+ years in data replication, sales engineering, or related technical field.
Strong background in database replication, cloud infra, and data replication tech.
Experience with cloud data warehouses, transformation tools, BI platforms.
Excellent communication and ability to explain complex tech to varied audiences.
Hands-on experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL databases.
Familiarity with ETL tools and self-hosted software and networks.

Responsibilities

Engage Commercial customers to understand business needs and replication requirements.
Deliver technical presentations to Commercial audiences.
Lead proof-of-value processes to secure technical wins.
Collaborate across cross-functional teams to drive improvements.
Support Sales reps with high customer focus and technical excellence.
Stay current with industry technologies and trends.
Assist teammates with advanced technical or business roadblocks.
