Job summary

Nations Roof in Gilbert, AZ is seeking an experienced Commercial Roofing Estimator / Project Manager to own projects from survey and estimate through installation and closeout. This role blends estimating and project management for reroofing and new construction across TPO, PVC, EPDM, and related sheet metal, focusing on complete scopes and competitive bids.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of recent experience as Estimator or Project Manager with a commercial roofing contractor.
• Strong knowledge of commercial roofing systems, installation methods, insulation assemblies, flashing, sheet metal.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, details, and contracts.
• Experience preparing commercial roofing estimates and managing projects from award to closeout.
• Understanding of labor production rates, material costs, budgets, and job cost reporting.

Responsibilities

• Estimate and manage commercial reroofing and new construction projects.
• Review drawings, specs, roof assembly requirements, and manufacturer details for complete scopes and takeoffs.
• Conduct roof surveys to evaluate conditions and tear-off requirements.
• Calculate material quantities and labor for insulation, membranes, fasteners, flashing, and sheet metal.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotes for scope and pricing.
• Identify installation challenges and value engineering opportunities while maintaining warranty.
• Coordinate with field leadership on manpower, schedules, deliveries, and weather protection.
• Manage project schedules, budgets, labor productivity, material usage, and costs.
• Prepare ECAC forecasts and monitor costs, remaining expenses, and profitability.
• Coordinate submittals, permits, RFIs, inspections, and manufacturer requirements.
• Serve as primary customer contact for status, technical requirements, and schedule impacts.
• Review completed projects to improve estimating accuracy and profitability.
