Job summary

Newmark Group seeks a Senior Appraiser in Baltimore to independently appraise complex commercial properties for dispute resolution, underwriting, and acquisition/disposition activities. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate or related fields; MS/MBA preferred.
• Certified General Appraiser license required.
• 3–6 years of commercial real estate appraisal experience.
• Experience writing appraisal reports and reviews for complex properties.
• Strong knowledge of real property valuation concepts and CRE terminology.
• Proficiency with Argus and related appraisal software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete appraisal reports independently for complex properties.
• Conduct appraisals of commercial properties and assess market value.
• Inspect properties and gather data from sources.
• Review reports and provide feedback with senior staff.
• Engage in client meetings and present findings.
• Produce formal rebuttal letters when needed.
• Stay current on regulations, zoning, and appraisal standards.
• Utilize data sources and software to support analyses.
