Job summary

Newmark Group seeks a Senior Appraiser to independently appraise complex commercial real estate for disputes, financing, acquisitions, and portfolio analysis. You will prepare comprehensive reports, inspect properties, and engage directly with clients.

You will apply valuation concepts, utilize Argus, and stay current with regulations and standards while collaborating with senior staff to ensure accuracy and timeliness of deliverables.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in real estate or related field; MS/MBA preferred.
• Must hold a state Certified General Appraiser license.
• 3–6 years of experience as a commercial real estate appraiser.
• Experience writing appraisals and appraisal reviews for complex properties.
• Solid understanding of property valuation concepts and CRE terminology.
• Knowledge of Argus or similar appraisal software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare independent appraisal reports on complex properties with senior staff oversight.
• Conduct complete appraisals and evaluate commercial properties to establish market value.
• Inspect properties and participate in client meetings.
• Review reports and provide independent judgments for complex properties.
• Maintain knowledge of regulations, zoning laws, and appraisal standards.
