Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Commercial Project Manager based in Miami to oversee all contractual and commercial aspects of projects, safeguard the company’s position, and maximize value for clients. The role may be based in other Stantec offices, with travel expected and a strong emphasis on governance, risk management, and timely reporting.

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience with APD programs, Earned Value management, complex scheduling, and claims management for design projects.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing APD programs.
• Proven ability with EVM and forecasting.
• Experience scheduling large, complex projects.
• Experience managing claims on design projects.
• Strong design contract review and administration knowledge.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership of multi-disciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Address all project commercial and contractual issues to protect maximum position.
• Ensure project is commercially managed per Stantec policies.
• Select and implement PM systems meeting project/client needs.
• Oversee development of Project Scope WBS and budget tracking.
• Maintain project risk registers and contract risk mitigation.
• Manage subconsultant and vendor commercial activities and change management.
• Interface with Design Management, Corporate Risk, and Financial Services.
• Prepare and issue contractual communications within required timeframes.
• Oversee project controls staff and cost forecasting.
• Present Monthly Commercial, Contractual, and Risk Reports.
