Job summary

First-Horizon-Bank in Charlotte seeks an experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to support the Commercial & Middle Market team. You will perform daily credit analysis, underwriting, and portfolio management for commercial and corporate borrowers, driving loan structuring and servicing in a fast-paced environment.

The role partners with Relationship Managers, mentoring junior team members and coordinating with Credit Analysts to ensure credit quality and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 to 8 years of commercial underwriting and portfolio management experience.
• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent in work experience) required.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret financial reports and legal documents.
• Strong computer skills with Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and highly proficient Excel.

Responsibilities

• Leading the analysis, underwriting, origination, and portfolio management of loans in a growing commercial and corporate portfolio.
• Utilizing loan structuring, risk identification, and risk mitigation skills.
• Understanding and applying the Bank’s risk grading methodology and credit appetite.
• Managing relationships with borrowers and partnering with Relationship Managers to develop lending proposals.
• Oversight of post-approval due diligence and loan documentation preparation.
• Building and maintaining a portfolio mix of high value clients with credit quality maintained.
