Job summary
HDR is seeking a Commercial Manager to support complex water infrastructure projects in California. You will partner with Project and Program Managers to manage contracts, track budgets, and ensure timely deliverables across multiple locations including Sacramento, Walnut Creek and Folsom.
Ideal candidates have 7+ years in Architecture/Engineering/Project controls, a relevant bachelor’s degree, and proven leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, architecture, business, law or equivalent.
- 7+ years in Architecture/Engineering/Design-Build/PM or related field.
- Knowledge of contracting practices and regulations in relevant regions.
- Experience with project controls, PM, and estimating software.
- Experience developing contracts, administration and Change Orders.
- Strong teamwork and communication.
- Commitment to HDR's quality and values.
- Ability to teach, lead and mentor others.
Responsibilities
- Implement contract management procedures per HDR policy.
- Lead mentoring and training within Project Management.
- Collaborate with Project/Program Managers on contract administration.
- Monitor contract documents for conformance and compliance.
- Track financials to ensure work stays within scope, budget, and schedule.
- Support leadership and alternative delivery Projects/Programs.
- Prepare subcontract work and changes, maintain records.
