Job summary

First Option Bank seeks an experienced Loan Processor to manage commercial loan files from application to post-closing. You will order appraisals and title work, review corporate documents for correct ownership and titling, and support the Loan Officer in gathering required documentation to meet policies.

You will maintain pipeline tracking, facilitate closings, and ensure regulatory compliance while assisting with training of other processors.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of commercial and/or consumer loan processing experience.
• Advanced knowledge of lending operations, documentation, and processing procedures.
• Strong understanding of lending regulations, compliance requirements, and bank policies.
• Experience reviewing corporate documents and ownership structures.
• Ability to manage multiple loan files and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Attention to detail with high accuracy in document prep and review.
• Effective communication with customers, lenders, attorneys, title companies, appraisers, and third parties.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.
• Experience assisting with training and mentoring other loan processors.

Responsibilities

• Process commercial loans from application to post closing, including appraisals and title work.
• Review corporate documents and ensure correct ownership/titling.
• Assist Loan Officer with documentation to meet policies and guidelines.
• Maintain organized pipeline tracking and loan funding processes.
• Provide closing documents and lien perfection filings; stay updated on regulatory requirements.
• Clear technical exceptions and communicate with third parties.
• Perform pre-closing reviews and update transaction logs.
• Prepare Adverse Action Statements.
• Collaborate with lenders and borrowers to prepare consumer loan documents.
• Disburse funds, ensure lien perfection, and notify insurance on completion.
• Assist in training and development of loan processors.
• Respond to payment, payoff, and inquiry requests; support servicing activities.
