Job summary

MutualOne Bank in Framingham, MA seeks an AVP, Commercial Loan Supervisor to lead a team supporting commercial loan origination for CRE, C&I, construction, and SBA loans.

You will oversee daily admin workflow, ensure accurate closings, and collaborate with Lending, Credit Administration, and Servicing to deliver a superior borrower experience. Leadership focus includes training and policy development.

Qualifications

• Five years or more of commercial loan administration, documentation or closing experience.
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business, finance or a related field preferred; equivalent and relevant work experience will be considered.
• Working knowledge of commercial loan structures, loan documentation, collateral, lien perfection and closing requirements.
• Experience reviewing loan documents against credit approvals and coordinating loan closings.
• Familiarity with LOS systems, core banking systems, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
• Demonstrated ability to coach employees, exercise sound judgement, and resolve operational problems.
• Strong written and verbal skills, as well as attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Supervise the workflow of Commercial Loan Assistant(s), Commercial Loan Associate(s), Sr. Commercial Loan Assistant(s), Sr. Commercial Loan Associate(s), and Administrative Assistant(s).
• Balance workloads based on loan complexity, closing deadlines, staff capacity and business needs.
• Provide coaching and training to strengthen technical knowledge, accountability and service quality.
• Promote consistent procedures, cross training, and effective communication with the team.
• Serve as the primary escalation resource for CLA team.
• Communicate deadlines, outstanding requirements, and issues affecting loan completion.
• Conduct employee performance reviews, participate in hiring, onboarding and development.
• Review pre-closing documents and post-closing files to ensure compliance with approvals and policies.
• Prepare and circulate department reports as needed.
• Coordinate documentation to support loan pledging per regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and coordination across departments.
• Support LOS system implementation, testing and ongoing use.
• Assist with subpoena requests, audits, and regulatory exams as needed.
• Oversee handoff to loan servicing with clear booking instructions and documentation.
• Answer customer inquiries via telephone and email and provide superior service.
