POSITION SUMMARY

The Senior Commercial Banker is responsible for developing new commercial banking relationships, originating and managing commercial loans, growing core deposits, and delivering comprehensive banking solutions to business clients.

This individual will serve as a trusted advisor to business owners by identifying financial needs, structuring credit solutions, and providing ongoing relationship management. The successful candidate will maintain a strong focus on portfolio growth, asset quality, client retention, and community involvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Business Development

• Develop new commercial banking relationships through proactive calling efforts, networking, referrals, and community involvement.
• Build and maintain relationships with business owners, commercial real estate investors, developers, attorneys, CPAs, and other centers of influence.
• Independently generate commercial loan, deposit, treasury management, and ancillary banking opportunities.
• Represent AVB Bank within the community through active participation in civic, professional, and business organizations.

Relationship Management

• Serve as the primary relationship manager for commercial banking clients.
• Meet regularly with customers and prospects to understand business objectives and provide tailored banking solutions.
• Identify opportunities to deepen relationships through loans, deposits, treasury management services, and other bank products.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow, credit history, and collateral to evaluate creditworthiness.
• Structure, negotiate, and originate commercial loans.
• Coordinate with credit analysts to prepare and present loan requests to loan committee with supporting analysis.
• Manage and grow a profitable commercial loan portfolio.
• Monitor existing loan relationships to maintain strong credit quality through financial monitoring and portfolio management.
• Proactively identify emerging credit concerns and develop solutions.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or related field, or equivalent banking experience.
• Minimum of seven years of commercial banking or commercial lending experience.
• Proven success in commercial loan production and business development.
• Strong commercial credit underwriting and financial analysis skills.
• Established relationships within the Tulsa market.
