Job summary

JD Fulwiler & Co. in Portland seeks a Commercial Lines Account Manager to independently manage an established book of business and partner with Producers on client solutions.

You will handle renewals, marketing, coverage analysis, and cross-sell opportunities while delivering exceptional service and maintaining strong client relationships. A minimum of five years in Commercial Lines at an independent agency and Applied Epic experience are required.

Qualifications

• Five or more years of Commercial Lines account management experience in an independent agency.
• Strong technical knowledge of Commercial Lines coverages and renewals.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage an assigned book of Commercial Lines accounts.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
• Partner with Producers on renewal strategy, marketing, account retention, and account rounding.
• Prepare marketing submissions, review carrier quotations, and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
• Coordinate renewals, endorsements, certificates, audits, and other account servicing activities.
• Serve as the primary service contact for assigned clients, carriers, and internal team members.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in Applied Epic.
• Identify opportunities for cross-selling and strengthening client relationships.
• Stay current on carrier appetite, coverage changes, and industry trends.
• Mentor and support less experienced team members as needed.
