Job summary

Relation Insurance Services in Fresno, CA seeks an experienced Account Manager to oversee client relationships, advise on coverage, risk management, and align programs with client growth goals.

You will act as field underwriter, manage renewals, prepare proposals, and coordinate claims with carriers. Strong communication, licensed in Property & Casualty, and 5+ years in commercial lines are required.

Qualifications

• Property and Casualty License required and must be maintained with designations preferred (e.g. AINS, CIC, CPCU, ARM).
• High school diploma or equivalent required; four-year degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years account management experience in the insurance industry focusing on commercial lines.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) a plus or required in some locations.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Strong PowerPoint and presentation skills for in-person or virtual sessions.
• Deep knowledge of advanced commercial lines to advise on complex needs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to maintain relationships with clients and partners.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word) and ability to learn new software.
• Intermediate to advanced knowledge of insurance markets, products, services, ratings and underwriting.
• Must have a valid driver's license, ability to travel to client sites.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the main point of contact for clients, guiding coverage changes and educating on policy exclusions.
• Partners in strategic development of insurance plans tailored to client needs.
• Acts as field underwriter and authorized representative to bind coverage when appropriate.
• Strategically manages remarketing of renewals to maintain high account retention.
• Oversees preparation of client proposals, submissions, loss evaluations, risk analyses, and quotes.
• Prepares summaries of insurance, binders, certificates, policies and endorsements.
• Assists clients with first reports of claims and coordinates with adjusters and carriers.
• Conducts policy renewals and audits; communicates discrepancies and necessary actions.
• Reviews cancellation requests and aims to retain clients while protecting company interests.
• Keeps informed about industry developments and new products to enhance service.
• Recommends process improvements and adopts innovative technology, including AI, in workflows.
• Performs other projects and tasks as assigned.
