Job summary
OakStar Bank in Ottawa, KS is seeking a Commercial Loan Officer to grow and service a diversified loan portfolio. You will originate and underwrite loans for small to mid-sized businesses, real estate investors, and agribusiness, while maintaining client relationships throughout the loan lifecycle.
The role requires strong financial acumen, proven lending experience, and knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lending, underwriting, and financial analysis.
- Experience structuring, underwriting, and managing commercial loans including working capital lines of credit, term loans, and real estate loans.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with business clients to generate loan opportunities.
- Assess financial needs and offer suitable lending products including lines of credit and real estate loans.
- Structure loan terms and coordinate with credit committee and underwriters.
- Monitor loan performance and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
- Prepare detailed loan packages for credit review and management reporting.
