Consumers Credit Union is hiring a Commercial Loan Officer to expand our business member base and provide credit recommendations through a thorough lending process. The role emphasizes sales achievement, risk assessment, and strong relationship building within the community.

The candidate should have 5+ years in commercial lending, formal credit training preferred, and a proven track record of hitting sales goals in business products and deposits. Vehicle and driver’s license required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance or related field required.
• Minimum five years of commercial lending experience.
• Proven sales and business development experience with results.
• Middle market lending experience preferred.
• Formal credit training preferred.
• Ability to service business members and grow relationships.

Responsibilities

• Achieve growth goals in business loans, deposits and other services.
• Develop and implement strategies related to new member loan and deposit growth.
• Actively participate in community organizations to source opportunities.
• Provide credit recommendations to the appropriate level of credit administration.
• Manage risk by monitoring member credit worthiness and loan terms.
• Call on potential and existing members to develop new business opportunities.
• Lead generation of business deposits, loan products, and Consumers @Work.
• Present loan requests to the loan committee when appropriate.
• Sell Consumers @Work program for onsite presentations to grow membership.
• Use CRM to generate opportunities and act as a trusted advisor.
