Job summary

SPC Credit Union is seeking a Commercial Lending Manager to lead underwriting, structuring, and closing of commercial loans while managing and servicing loan portfolios. You will represent the credit union in market areas through active involvement in community affairs and drive loan growth and service objectives.

The role emphasizes portfolio quality, regulatory compliance, and collaboration with internal teams to deliver timely, robust financial solutions for members.

Qualifications

• Five to ten years of similar or related experience preferred.
• Strong analytical skills for credit and risk assessment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must have working knowledge of regulations affecting commercial lending.
• Ability to influence and sell ideas or services to others.

Responsibilities

• Deliver outstanding service aligned with the Credit Union's mission, vision, and values.
• Underwrite, structure, close commercial loans and service loan portfolios.
• Represent SPC Credit Union in market areas through active community involvement.
• Ensure loan portfolio soundness and regulatory compliance; manage past-due collections when needed.
• Coordinate with IBS during underwriting to ensure timely processing; provide guidance on risk, pricing, and options.
• Assist in developing and implementing strategic plans for long-term commercial services.
• Grow deposits and loans; oversee business development with branch staff to build profitable solutions.
