Job summary

RockBridge Search & Recruitment seeks a VP Commercial Lender in San Antonio to lead a portfolio of middle-market and privately held business relationships. You will originate loans, structure complex credit solutions, analyze financials, and present risk-informed packages to internal stakeholders.

You will work in a client-facing environment with strong credit support, contributing to growth through strategic relationship management and market development in Texas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or related field.
• 5+ years of commercial lending or relationship management experience.
• Strong commercial credit analysis and financial statement interpretation.
• Proven ability to develop business and cultivate long-term client relationships.
• Experience managing commercial loan portfolios and structuring complex transactions.
• Knowledge of banking regulations, lending policies, and risk-management practices.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Familiarity with the San Antonio commercial market is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a portfolio of commercial banking relationships with a focus on middle-market and privately held businesses.
• Originate new commercial loan opportunities through networking, referrals, and market development efforts.
• Structure lending solutions including C&I, owner-occupied and investment real estate, and lines of credit.
• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, cash flow trends, and collateral structures to assess creditworthiness.
• Prepare and present credit packages with clear risk analysis and recommendations.
• Partner with credit administration and underwriting to ensure timely loan processing.
• Maintain knowledge of market conditions, industry trends, and banking products.
• Cross-sell treasury management, deposits, and other banking solutions.
• Monitor portfolio performance and proactively manage risk, renewals, and covenants.
• Represent the bank professionally within the community and networking events.
