Job summary

Tech24 in Tappan, New York is seeking a Commercial Kitchen Equipment Technician to service hot-side cooking equipment across Tappan and the surrounding region. The role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, and warmers in restaurants and foodservice operations.

Qualified applicants have 3+ years of commercial repair experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial hot-side / food equipment repair experience REQUIRED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record required.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
• EPA Universal certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment (ovens, fryers, steamers, griddles, warmers, etc.).
• Perform preventative maintenance to ensure safe efficient equipment operations.
• Accurately document service calls, parts used, labor hours, and customer interactions in company system.
• Clearly communicate repair status, recommendations, and timelines to customers.
• Manage truck inventory to ensure proper parts and tools are stocked.
• Respond to service calls in a timely and professional manner.
• Represent the company with professionalism while delivering high-quality customer service.
• Follow all safety regulations and company policies.
• Participate in ongoing technical training and professional development opportunities.
