Insurance Office of America is seeking a Senior Account Associate - Commercial Lines to provide administrative and customer service support to the account team, ensuring accurate renewals, submissions, and coverage decisions.

The role emphasizes team leadership, policy management, and proactive client service while maintaining strong relationships with carriers and internal partners. Remote/hybrid work with occasional on-site needs in Longwood, FL.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer service experience in the insurance industry.
• Active licensing; CISR designation preferred.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional customer service, communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Direct day-to-day activities and workflow of Team Support/Receptionist, Account Assistant, and/or Account Associate.
• Policy Management: Track policy expirations and ensure renewals are processed on time.
• Task Processing: Handle endorsements, audits, cancellations, reinstatements, and related items.
• New and Renewal Business Support: Conduct client research, gather underwriting info, prepare submissions, negotiate coverages and pricing, bind coverage, and follow up for issuance.
• Contract Review: Review contracts to ensure proper coverages.
• Accounts Receivable: Monitor delinquent accounts and collect balances.
• System Maintenance: Maintain agency management systems and carrier/vendor platforms.
• Activity Monitoring: Monitor and maintain activity/suspense for timely completion.
• Communication: Maintain frequent communication with the account team about workload and issues.
• Service Excellence: Deliver outstanding service and proactively anticipate client needs.
• Policy Compliance: Stay updated on company policies and procedures.
• Continuous Improvement: Seek best practices to improve performance.
• Champion IOA Values: Demonstrate integrity and leadership.
