Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical in Austin, TX seeks a seasoned Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join a fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude, strong problem-solving skills, and an active EPA Certification.

The position reports to the local Service Manager and offers opportunities for workforce development through the FirstCall Academy and related programs, with competitive weekly pay and comprehensive health benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in a commercial HVAC setting.
• Active EPA Certification and OSHA 10 Certification.
• Valid Driver's License with clean driving record.
• Manufacturer Certification preferred; flexible hours and on-call.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of problems and failures in HVAC systems, refrigeration, and related equipment to identify repair needs.
• Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts per specifications.
• Maintain larger PM contracts with more than 5 units.
• Repair or replace defective parts in units and their controls.
• Service and troubleshoot mini-splits and smaller RTUs up to 15 tons.
• Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for customers.
• Provide elite customer service to every customer.
