Job summary

FirstCall Mechanical seeks a seasoned Commercial HVAC Technician to join a growing team in Tampa, FL. The role requires diagnosing complex HVAC problems, performing maintenance, and installing or replacing units as needed, with a focus on 15 tons+ capacity.

Active EPA certification and a valid driver’s license are essential. Applicants should have 5+ years in commercial HVAC, OSHA 10, and willingness to work flexible hours, including on-call shifts.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License w/acceptable driving record.
• Active EPA Certification.
• 5+ years’ of experience in a commercial HVAC setting.
• OSHA 10 Certification.
• Manufacturer Certification is preferred.
• Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose causes of problems in heating/air conditioning systems, refrigeration systems, and related equipment.
• Perform maintenance and service repairs, install new units, or replace parts according to specifications (15 tons+).
• Maintain larger PM contracts with more than 5 units.
• Repair or replace defective parts in units and controls.
• Service and troubleshoot mini-splits and smaller RTUs and mini-splits.
• Communicate with Dispatch to ensure completion of scheduled jobs.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules for customers.
