Job summary

Service Experts Heating & Air Conditioning seeks an experienced HVAC technician to diagnose and service commercial rooftop systems. Under minimal supervision, you will repair boilers, heating and cooling units, and related equipment while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

You will document work on a handheld device, coordinate with dispatch, and promote service options. Requires high school diploma or GED, 3+ years HVAC experience, valid licensing, and a clean driving record.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with additional training and 3+ years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification required
• Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area.
• Skilled at servicing commercial (rooftop) heating, air conditioning, boilers and associated equipment, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessories.
• Proficient mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Proficient at reading wiring diagrams and troubleshoot problems with electrical, refrigerant, and duct systems on commercial HVAC equipment.
• Proficient and able to properly start up and balance airflow on all commercial systems with little or no supervision.
• Proficient and able to install a basic duct fitting.
• Two years’ experience performing service and maintenance work on commercial HVAC equipment and related accessories.
• Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform commercial rooftop HVAC service and maintenance calls following safety protocols.
• Diagnose, analyze, and resolve customer problems in a courteous, timely, and accurate manner.
• Service on commercial heating, air conditioning, boilers, ventilation, and related equipment.
• Inspect equipment to identify potential problems and prevent breakdowns or callbacks.
• Complete routine maintenance and equipment cleaning as needed or required.
• Deliver and remove parts and equipment needed to complete service work.
• Record all required information on a handheld device and complete forms accurately.
• Communicate with dispatch to provide status reports and availability.
• Promote products and services to customers and relay lead information for replacements.
• Ensure company property, vehicles, and tools are properly used and accounted for.
