Job summary

Extron is seeking an experienced HVAC/R Technician to provide maintenance and repair across our commercial campus facilities. You will troubleshoot, install and service HVAC/R systems, reading schematics and meeting safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires 5+ years of HVAC/R experience, chiller/boiler knowledge, and the ability to handle 50 lb lifts. Strong communication and a detail-oriented mindset are essential for success at Extron.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Commercial HVAC/R experience.
• Chiller and Boiler Repair Experience is preferred.
• DDC Controls and Building Automation experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of electrical troubleshooting and systemic sequence of operations.
• Ability to lift 50lbs frequently.
• Must be able to read and understand Architectural Plans, Wiring Schematics and Technical Drawings.
• Experience with Walk In and Reach In Refrigerator, Freezer repair and maintenance is preferred.
• Experience with motor replacement, Variable Frequency Drives, Pneumatic Compressors and the various tools and techniques associated.
• Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a strong attention to detail, highly organized and computer literate.
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform HVAC/R maintenance, installation and repair in-house for our campus facilities.
• Troubleshoot machinery using observation and precision instruments.
• Follow Maintenance Procedures and maintain Preventive Maintenance Records.
• Communicate with customers, management and colleagues about issues and timelines.
• Maintain PPE, tools, parts and supplies in clean and safe condition.
