Job summary

Simmons is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, service, repair, and maintain a broad range of commercial heating and cooling systems. The role demands strong troubleshooting, professionalism, and the ability to work independently while delivering dependable service to our commercial clients.

You will work on chillers, boilers, rooftop and package systems, split systems, pumps, hydronic systems, and controls.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior successful experience as a Commercial HVAC Service Technician.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience servicing commercial HVAC equipment.
• Chiller and/or boiler experience strongly preferred.
• EPA certification required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC and mechanical systems.
• Service equipment including chillers, boilers, rooftop units, package units, split systems, pumps, hydronic systems, controls, and related commercial HVAC equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, refrigerant, airflow, and control-related problems.
• Perform preventive maintenance and identify potential equipment problems before they lead to breakdowns.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, equipment specifications, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Accurately determine equipment condition and recommend appropriate repairs or corrective actions.
• Verify proper system operation after repairs and maintenance are completed.
• Clearly communicate equipment condition, repair needs, and recommendations with customers and company personnel.
• Complete service documentation accurately and professionally.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow company and industry safety procedures at all times.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and service vehicle in professional condition.
• Represent Simmons professionally at every customer location.
• Participate in on-call or after-hours service rotation as required.
