FirstCall Mechanical is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Mechanic Installer for Asheville, NC. The role focuses on replacing commercial HVAC systems, wiring, duct fabrication, and field installation duties for diverse facilities.

The ideal candidate has a strong customer-service mindset, can work four 10-hour shifts, and may operate with a helper on site. Company benefits include healthcare, retirement, and advancement programs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an install mechanic.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read instructions, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to operate tools.
• Must be able to lift 75 lb frequently and 50 lb regularly.

Responsibilities

• HVAC Mechanic will replace commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Complete paperwork daily, recording materials used on each job, in accurate manner.
• Able to independently replace HVAC systems with a helper on the job
• Ability to wire up all basic HVAC low voltage wiring: furnace, a/c, thermostats, zone controls
• Ability to field fabricate duct fittings on the job without supervision
• Ability to fit and braze copper fittings
• Ability to perform equipment startups including verifying proper refrigerant charge and airflow readings
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out duct
• Ability to work four 10-hour shifts followed by being off for 3 day weekends
