Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an install mechanic.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Ability to read instructions, wiring diagrams, and blueprints.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to operate tools.
• Must be able to lift 75 lb frequently and 50 lb regularly.

Responsibilities

• HVAC Mechanic will replace commercial heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems
• Complete paperwork daily, recording materials used on each job, in accurate manner.
• Able to independently replace HVAC systems with a helper on the job
• Ability to wire up all basic HVAC low voltage wiring: furnace, a/c, thermostats, zone controls
• Ability to field fabricate duct fittings on the job without supervision
• Ability to fit and braze copper fittings
• Ability to perform equipment startups including verifying proper refrigerant charge and airflow readings
• Ability to read blueprints and lay out duct
• Ability to work four 10-hour shifts followed by being off for 3 day weekends

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are currently seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Mechanic Installer to join the fast-growing team. The ideal candidate will have a can-do attitude and strong problem- solving skills, as well as a high level of customer service.

ORGANIZATIONAL ALIGNMENT

This position reports to the local install manager or branch leader and has a responsibility to all of our customers.

QualificationsQualifications

• 5+ years of experience in install mechanic
• Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
• Visual acuity sufficient to read instructions, wiring diagrams, blueprints, to install and replace HVAC equipment and parts
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipment
• Ability to frequently lift 75 pounds and ability to lift and regularly carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Sufficient physical ability to work in awkward places and from ladders or scaffolding as required by projects
• Physical ability to endure high and low outside temperatures

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to operate computer keyboard reach with hands and arms. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee is continually required to climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
