Senior Commercial General Liability Claims Specialist

Our client is seeking to add a Senior Commercial Liability Claims Examiner to their New England division. This person would be responsible for directly handling moderate to complex, including litigated, Commercial Liability claims consisting of Slip and Falls, Premise Liability, and Bodily Injury losses throughout the New England territory. Responsibilities of this position include determining exposure, creating/managing action plans, litigation management, and negotiating settlements. This person would have the ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a pending of 85 – 100 Commercial Liability claims to include Slip and Falls, Premise Liability, Auto, and Property losses throughout the New England region.
• Possess strong litigation management skills to aggressively manage litigation activities, budgets and claim outcomes while considering the overall impact to the customer and company.
• Investigate allegations and determine facts based on evidence and interviews.
• Calculate and assign timely/appropriate reserves to claims.
• Manage reserve adequacy throughout the life of the claim.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of Commercial General Liability claims experience.
• Must have TPA and/or Insurance Carrier claims handling experience.
• Must hold an active adjuster’s license.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the capability to write routine reports and correspondence, speak effectively before groups of customers or employees and handle litigations and negotiations.
• Bachelor's Degree strongly desired but not required.

Salary/Benefits:

• $90,000 to $110,000+ base salary plus annual bonus.
