  • Investigate and manage claims: review coverage and liability, gather and analyze necessary information such as reports, policies, and statements.
  • Work towards resolving claims, attend arbitrations, mediations, depositions, or trials as needed.
  • May recommend settlements or reserves within authority limits and consult supervisors on cases exceeding personal limits.
  • Communicate complex information regarding coverage, decisions, and negotiations professionally to all parties.
  • Ensure timely and accurate claims payments.
  • Handle claims in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior staff and other departments.
  • May oversee staff performance, coaching, and participate in talent management decisions.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • This role manages claims in Illinois and is remote within the state.
Job Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Field of Study: Liberal Arts, Business, or related discipline.

Experience: Typically 10+ years of relevant experience.
