Job summary

Pleasant Valley Corporation in Medina, Ohio is seeking an Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects ranging from $50K to $5M, including ground-up construction and tenant improvements.

You will review plans, coordinate with subcontractors, develop scopes of work, and collaborate with the Project Management team to support bid development and hand-off. A 5–7 year background in commercial construction is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of related experience in commercial construction.
• 7-9 years acceptable without a degree.
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management preferred but not required.
• Proficiency in electronic plan reading and take-off software.
• Strong understanding of project-specific General Conditions and General Requirements.
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Bid preparation and analysis of plans, specs, and RFPs to prepare accurate estimates.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotes.
• Develop detailed Scopes of Work and Basis of Estimate supplements.
• Collaborate with junior estimators, estimating coordinators, and Project Management to support bid development and hand-off.
• Maintain pre-construction standards and pursue continuing education to enhance estimating skills and certifications.
