Job summary

Cushman & Wakefield is seeking a Commercial Chief Engineer in the Pacifica area. The role leads engineering staff and oversees all mechanical operations, maintenance, and safety programs on-site, aligning with management and client expectations.

The Chief Engineer may perform hands-on duties and participate in watch activities. The ideal candidate has 7+ years in commercial property settings, with known skills in EMS, budgeting, and asset management, plus required licenses where applicable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; vocational/technical training may be required.
• 7+ years of related work experience in commercial property settings.
• Appropriate license/permit for trade may be required (Journeyman/Master Electrician or City Licenses)

Responsibilities

• Supervise engineers and maintenance staff, including hiring, training, and development.
• Oversee and manage budgets, variance reporting, and operating/capital expenditures.
• Ensure 100% compliance with safety programs and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance programs and EMS/fire alarm systems.
• Respond to emergencies and maintain communication with tenants and vendors.
