Job summary

Knight Electric, Inc. in Justin, TX is seeking an Electrical Estimator to support our retail/commercial projects, including new construction and remodels. You will perform takeoffs in Accubid Anywhere, analyze bids, and maintain strong vendor/client relationships.

Role requires collaboration with engineers, architects, owners, and subcontractors, meeting deadlines, and forecasting outcomes post-bid. Office-based with 0–25% travel, focusing on accurate estimates.

Qualifications

• At least 2+ years of estimating commercial electrical projects in similar types of construction.
• Excellent communication skills with customers, vendors, subcontractors, general contractors, and owners.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and thoroughness.
• Full working knowledge and experience with Accubid software is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform takeoffs using on-screen estimating software (Accubid Anywhere).
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with vendors and customers.
• Review project plans, specs, schedules, and bid documents to identify needs for estimates.
• Meet deadlines with good time management and prioritize tasks.
• Prepare detailed proposals and engage clients post-bid to forecast potential awards.
• Attend pre-bid meetings to understand full scope of work and gather information.
