Job summary

Jobot in the United States is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator for commercial projects. You will prepare detailed electrical estimates, perform take-offs, and develop bid packages in collaboration with project managers to ensure timely and on-budget submissions.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field) and have at least 2 years of electrical estimating experience, with strong NEC knowledge and proficiency in estimation tools and project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of electrical estimating for commercial construction.
• Proficient in NEC and relevant codes.
• Experience with project management tools/software.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, materials, and trends.
• Proficient in take-off and bid preparation.
• Experience managing change orders and communicating changes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and accurate electrical estimates for commercial construction projects.
• Perform electrical take-offs and develop comprehensive bid packages.
• Utilize NEC knowledge to ensure compliance in all projects.
• Manage change orders and communicate changes or risks to the project manager.
• Participate in project management activities, including planning, scheduling, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with project management to ensure on-time, within-budget completion.
• Regularly review and update estimates for material, labor, or other factors.
• Attend pre-bid meetings, site visits, and client consultations as needed.
