The role focuses on developing competitive estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, and interior systems, collaborating closely with project management and field teams. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of estimating in related construction, a strong grasp of drawings and specs, and proficiency with Excel and digital estimating software.

Qualifications

5+ years estimating experience in commercial drywall or related construction.
Strong understanding of drawings, specs, materials, and labor costs.
Experience with quantity takeoffs and detailed estimates.
Proficiency with digital estimating software and MS Excel.
Strong organizational and analytical skills.
Experience with exterior sheathing, ceilings, or large projects is a plus.
Experience estimating data centers or mission-critical projects is a bonus.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed estimates for commercial drywall, metal framing, ceilings, partitions, and related specialty construction scopes.
Review architectural drawings, specifications, and bid documents to determine project requirements.
Perform accurate material takeoffs and develop labor, equipment, and subcontractor pricing.
Solicit and evaluate vendor and subcontractor quotes.
Identify potential project risks, scope gaps, and cost-saving opportunities.
Prepare competitive bids, proposals, budgets, and change order estimates.
Collaborate with project managers and field operations to ensure accurate project handoffs.
