Vortex Doors, America’s leading commercial and industrial door repair company in Phoenix, seeks an Experienced Commercial Door Technician with 4+ years in the door industry to install, repair, and maintain doors, docks, and related hardware at customer sites. You will diagnose issues, work safely, and deliver quality workmanship.

The role emphasizes on-site service, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent customer communication, with opportunities for growth and access to company vehicle

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 4+ years’ experience in the commercial door service industry.
• AAADM certification is a plus.
• Knowledge of various door types, brands and hardware.
• Ability to use hand and power tools effectively.
• Ability to read tape measures and perform precise measurements.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and adherence to safety protocols.
• Knowledge of computers.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and related hardware.
• Diagnose and repair door-related issues such as springs, hinges, locks, and electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware including locks, handles, closers, and access control.
• Ensure doors meet safety and building code standards.
• Provide excellent customer service and explain repair processes.
• Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs, and installations.
• Diagnose and resolve technical door issues and communicate cost-effective solutions.
• Perform quality checks to ensure workmanship meets standards.
