Job summary

Vortex Doors is seeking an Experienced Commercial Door Technician to install, repair, and maintain a variety of commercial doors and related hardware on customer sites. You’ll diagnose issues, from springs to locks and electrical components, and perform installations and safety checks in a fast-paced field environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 4+ years in commercial door service industry.
• AAADM certification a plus.
• Knowledge of door types, brands, and hardware.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, and repair commercial doors, docks, and related hardware.
• Diagnose door issues: springs, hinges, locks, electrical components.
• Install and configure door hardware including low-voltage, access control systems.
• Maintain records of service visits, repairs, and installations.
• Ensure work meets safety and code standards.
• Provide cost-effective solutions and clearly explain repair steps.
